(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – Authorities have released surveillance images of a “person of interest” in the recent shooting of a postal carrier, and they’ve increased the potential reward to find the armed robbers who attacked the worker.
The mail carrier was shot Aug. 1 in the 3200 block of North Kildare on Chicago’s Northwest Side during a robbery, officials have said. Shortly after this incident, another mail carrier was robbed in the 1800 block of North Sawyer, with no injuries reported.
Now, officials are offering a reward of up to $100,000 for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
Anyone with information is urged to call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455 (say “Law Enforcement”); the reference case is No. 4088796.
