NEW LENOX (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Illinois State Police say someone is in custody following a fatal expressway shooting during the Monday evening rush hour on I-80.
It happened at about 5:30 p.m. State Police responded to I-80 near I-355 in New Lenox.
They found that someone in a vehicle had been shot and had life-threatening injuries. The person later died at a hospital.
The circumstances are unclear.
New Lenox Police said they were called to the surrounding area. They assisted State Police taking the person into custody without incident.
