CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - There was more violence on the Dan Ryan Expressway late Sunday night.
Illinois State Police said they found a person shot inside their car in the inbound lanes near 71st Street, around 10:45 p.m. The person was hospitalized with injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Officials are asking anyone who witnessed the shooting to contact State Police and are reminding them that witnesses can remain anonymous.
According to the State Police dashboard, this is at least the 88th expressway shooting in Illinois this year.
