In 2016, Bridgette was adopted from PAWS, but after years of being loved and cared for, she was returned to PAWS after her adopter was hospitalized. In that time, Bridgette made wonderful human friends who looked out for her and ensured she got the care she needed. Now, as an old lady who has seen some heartbreak, Bridgette knows that good things can’t be taken for granted.
PAWS Chicago said Bridgette is a sweet 6-year-old Shepherd mix with a calm personality. She loves being around people and is never shy saying hi to a new friend. She is most content when curled up at your side. Bridgette is great at being home alone, but always happy to see you when you return so she can share a nuzzle and play together or go for a walk. She loves being outside and loves to sniff everything, especially on a leisurely walk. She’d love to find a home where she can soak up all the attention as the only pet, as well as the only “kid”.
Despite her 6 years of age, Bridgette still has so much pep left in her step, and can’t wait to share it with you, PAWS Chicago said.

1. Please start by taking PAWS Chicago's ComPETibility Quiz to make sure they’re a good fit for your home. Your ComPETibility Score will help you compare your home to their needs!
2. After completing your ComPETibility Quiz, you will be emailed a link to complete your Adoption Application.
3. Finally, complete the PAWS Chicago Pet Adoption Inquiry Form! Once this form is submitted, the Adoption Team will take a look at your adoption inquiry and, if they have next steps, reach out within a few days.
