CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Hey everyone, meet Chestnut!
Chestnut is a 4-year-old, male Labrador Retriever mix. He weighs 58.6 pounds.
He is considered an "Underdog" at Paws Chicago.

PAWS Chicago said they are not giving up on Chestnut finding his forever family. PAWS said they know a dog-experienced, quiet, adults only home in a non-urban area with a fenced in yard is hard to find, BUT it’s not impossible! There is a possibility Chestnut may be able to live with a larger resident dog, but it really depend on their chemistry.
Take the ComPETibility quiz here.

Chestnut recently had a great stay in his foster home and here are their thoughts:
What I will miss most:
• Seeing his level of enthusiasm when it comes to different treats by how quickly he prances/waddles/skips across the hall to gobble them up
• His uncontainable excitement when you return home (he really misses you!)
• His affectionate and attentive nature, and emotional intelligence
• His protection
Likes/loves:
• Rubs and snuggles on the bridge of his nose and between the eyes (therapeutic for him)
• Ripping apart new toys
• Being nearby or next to you at night with endless belly and head rubs
• Semi rough housing, always rolls on his back with a goofy face
Dislikes:
• Sudden movements (particularly while he’s eating)
• New people, he needs time to warm up to them
• Knows when you’re being sneaky (i.e. whenever I try to apply flea medication-smart boy)
• Rain
Chestnut deserves to know what a forever home feels like and soon!
