PLAINFIELD (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A 21-year-old Will County man who called 911 Wednesday to turn himself in for committing a crime is now charged with the murder of his mother.
Justen Holman had called 911 from a parking lot in Joliet.
When officers arrived, police said, he told them he had killed someone in his home on the 6400 block of Langsford Lane in Plainfield.
A well-being check at the home confirmed what he told officers. His mother was found dead of gunshot wounds. She was 48.
Police have not said what happened nor what led to the crime.
Officers did recover a gun at the home.
Holman is charged with first-degree murder.
