
ALSIP, IL (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A 14-year old boy is among those arrested following a police chase from the city into the suburbs Wednesday afternoon.
The chase involving Chicago and Illinois State Police ended at 115th and Pulaski in Alsip Wednesday afternoon. Police said the suspects crashed the stolen car and tried to run away but ended up in handcuffs.
According to Alsip Police, it had been thought that Chicago and Illinois State Police were chasing suspects from a shooting that happened in the city. Turns out that was not the case.
Chicago police said the 14-year old suspect was the most seriously charged, with felony possession of a stolen vehicle. 20-year old Drequan Williams was charged with misdemeanor criminal trespass to a vehicle.
Police would not say which suspect had been behind the wheel.
