Police investigating after Near North Side fight leads to deadly shooting

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting Saturday morning on the Near North Side.

Police say it happened just after 3:30 a.m  on West Hubbard Street near Clark Street when a 24 year old male got into a physical altercation with another.

The offender pulled out a gun and fired a shot in the victim's direction. He was taken to Northwestern Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say they are questioning a person of interest.
