(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago Police are investigating a shooting on the South Side that left a woman dead early Sunday.
Officers found a woman just before 5:30 a.m. with a gunshot wound to the chest near East 79th Street in Cregier Avenue in the South Shore neighborhood.
Police say the 29-year-old victim was unresponsive and was taken to the hospital in critical condition. She was later pronounced dead.
Authorities are investigating and no one is in custody.
