
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Detectives are looking for suspects wanted in connection with robbery on a CTA Red Line platform earlier this week.
Mass Transit Detectives are working to identify three suspects who took headphones and a backpack from a passenger. The incident occurred around 3:30 a.m. on Monday at the Red Line station platform located in the 100 block of North State Street.
Police say, when the passenger attempted to get his property back, the suspects allegedly punched and kicked the victim.
All three suspects are described as being between 18 and 20 years old. One suspect, a Black man, was wearing a red durag, black tank top and black pants. Another suspect, a Black man, was seen wearing a green Tommy Hilfiger hoodie, sweatshirt and ripped jeans. The third suspect, a Black woman, was wearing a red jumpsuit and white shoes.
Anyone with information about the suspects is asked to call the Bureau of Detectives – Mass Transit at (312)-745-4447. Anonymous tips can be submitted to CPDTIP.com.
Police remind people to be aware of their surroundings, call 911 to report suspicious activity, never chase a fleeing assailant and to report incidents to the police.
