Police raid all 3 Parlor Pizza locations, but why?

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Parlor Pizza Bar’s three locations in Chicago were shut down Wednesday, as authorities conducted what may be a criminal investigation.

The Parlor Pizza restaurants in the West Loop, Wicker Park, and River North were essentially raided, as law enforcement executed search warrants.

The Chicago Department of Buildings put "closed" signs on the doors and employees showing up for work were locked out, CBS 2 reported. Police officers and agents with the Illinois Department of Revenue were seen gathering boxes of documents.

The Department of Revenue issued a statement that said, “In the event of potential violations of the Illinois Tax Act and related offenses, our Bureau of Criminal Investigations will investigate potential violations."

It went on to say, “The Department of Revenue cannot comment on ongoing investigations; however, or their existence.”

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
