A new art exhibit in Chicago's Streeterville neighborhood is showcasing the evolution of pop culture.

It's a multi-media exhibition described as an intersection of celebrity commerce, technology and media.

"It's definitely about our media-saturated celebrity obsessed society. So it is about the notion of celebrity, but it's also about the evolution of pop art," said Chief Curator Alice Gray Stites.

Stites says the "Pop Stars!" exhibit features more than 90 works by 55 artists from around the world.

"What we find on the streets that we live in play, and the screen that we're constantly on is that those imagery, those topics, those themes are the subjects of fine art today," Stites said.

"Pop Stars!" will be on display inside the 21c Museum Hotel Chicago gallery space through February of next year.
