(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – A two-year construction project in Logan Square has pushed the neighborhood's popular farmer's market a couple of blocks to the south.
The market’s vendors will now line up along Kedzie Avenue between Logan Boulevard and Fullerton Avenue, says Nilda Esparza of the Logan Square Chamber of Commerce.
“We’ve just created something that everyone wants to be a part of, so, it’s a beautiful thing in the end,” she said.
Last year, the Johnson Administration intervened when traffic-safety concerns threatened to close the growing outdoor market.
A practice run for the new location is planned for Sunday April 7.
The Logan Square Farmers Market plans to move again to a permanent home in 2026.
