
SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A statewide residential eviction moratorium that was set to expire Saturday has been extended for another 30 days.
Illinois Gov. J.B. Pritzker Friday announced an expectation of the continuing spread of COVID-19 and addressed ongoing health and economic impacts of the pandemic felt by people across the state.
The governor declared all counties in Illinois as a disaster area thereby reissuing a number of executive orders including an extension of the residential eviction moratorium through May 29.
