CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Another prominent Chicago statue has been vandalized.

WBBM received photos of vandalism of the Laura Liu statue in Ping Tom Park at 1700 South Wentworth in Chinatown. The graffiti is on the base of the statue and the statue itself, but it's not clear what exactly the scribbled message says, though there does appear to be a smiley face.

Liu was the first Chinese-American judge at the Illinois appellate courts and the first Chinese-American in Chicago to be elected to public office. She died from breast cancer in 2016. She was only 49 years old.

The incident comes after a statue of Abraham Lincoln was also vandalized on the North Side recently.
