CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A now-settled lawsuit claiming sexual harassment and racial discrimination against the head of the Chicago-based National Association of Realtors has uncovered complaints from more than a dozen women.

Twenty-nine women who either worked at the association or one of its affiliates say they were sexually harassed on the job or subjected to sexist and belittling behavior.

The New York Times reported years of complaints, including about NAR President Kenny Parcell changed nothing.

A former director of the group told the paper a culture of fear is woven into sexual harassment in the association headquartered on Michigan Avenue.

Parcell denied any sexual harassment to the paper, and association recently announced it has set up a new group to encourage respect, integrity and transparency.
