CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Plans for this year’s revamped Chicago Auto Show taking place in mid-July include new outdoor offerings that will look more like a street festival.

On the first four nights of the show, July 15-18, Indiana Avenue in front of the McCormick Place West building will be closed to traffic and there will be food trucks, beer and live music along with new cars.

The Chicago Automobile Trade Association said attendees will need an auto show ticket to attend. The capacity for the indoor show is 30,000 people per day 10,000 at a time.

Tickets are sold in blocks of time and can be bought online at chicagoautoshow.com. To attend the outdoor portion, you will need evening tickets.
