(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The reward for information leading to the two missing Bradley sisters has now increased substantially, thanks to an anonymous donor.

There was much media attention around the 20th anniversary of the disappearance of Tionda and Diamond Bradley. As of July 6, two decades had passed since the 10-year-old and 3-year-old siblings vanished from their home at 35th and Lake Park Avenue.

That media coverage brought tips and people who contacted the family, offering help.

The girls’ great aunt, Shelia Bradley-Smith, said Thursday she was contacted by one woman on Facebook who offered to add to the reward money, which has stood at $30,000.

“When she said that she’d be willing to offer $50,000, all I could do was cry,” the relative said.

She said she would have thought someone would have come forward with key information to claim the $30,000.

“But for $80,000 — it just may move somebody to open their mouth finally,” Bradley-Smith said.

The reward would go to someone offering information that will lead to Diamond and Tionda Bradley.
