Robert Crimo picked up one of his guns at a Lake Villa store

LAKE VILLA (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - We are learning this morning where at least one of the guns recovered from the Highland Park shooter Robert Crimo was obtained.

CBS-2 is reporting that one of Crimo’s five weapons was legally picked up at a store called Red Dot Arms in Lake Villa. It’s possible that it was the high-powered rifle used in Monday’s mass shooting.

That weapon was reportedly purchased online from another store in another state and then legally shipped to Red Dot. It worked this way because Crimo had a valid Firearm Owners Identification (FOID) card.

Red Dot’s website says the gun store offers weapons training and lists AR15, AR-10, and AK-47s on its list of available weapons for sale.

As of this morning, Red Dot Arms is not commenting on the report.
