Rogers Park shooting that left 22-year-old dead and 3 others hurt was targeted, alder says

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 22-year-old was killed, and three others were injured in a shooting at Pottawatomie Park on Sunday, according to Rogers Park Ald. Maria Hadden (49th).

The shooting happened shortly after 3 p.m., Hadden told constituents in a social media post. The alderwoman said it was a “targeted shooting.”

A spokesperson with the Chicago Fire Department said two people were taken to St. Francis Hospital in critical condition.

WBBM has reached out to the Chicago Police Department for comment on the shooting.

Hadden said Area Three detectives were investigating the homicide.

The alderwoman said her condolences go out to the family of the deceased.
