CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A rolled over semi-trailer has caused quite the traffic jam on the Outbound Dan Ryan Expressway.
Illinois State Police said the single-vehicle crash occurred shortly after 7 a.m. in the local lanes of the Outbound Dan Ryan near 47th Street. An occupant of the semi was injured and sent to an area hospital.
For a brief period, State Police shut down all lanes as crews began to clean the scene. As a result, traffic was at a standstill near 35th Street.
By 8:30 a.m., the two left lanes were reopened while the two right lanes remained blocked.
