(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Antioch police have arrested a 15-year-old who they believe is responsible for 20 car burglaries in the last two months. WBBM's Nancy Harty has details.
The juvenile was picked up this weekend after Waukegan Police stopped a stolen car that the suspect was a passenger in, according to Antioch Police.
The department says once in custody, the teen admitted participating in a rash of car burglaries that have occurred in the village since May. In all cases, the cars were left unlocked.
Police say security camera video helped them connect the juvenile to the crimes and they could bring charges against at least one other suspect.
