CHICAGO (WBBM Newsradio) – Two men were killed after a shooting on Chicago’s Far South Side ended with a car crashing into a tree late Sunday night, police said.

Officers responded to the West Pullman neighborhood around 10:09 p.m. near 122nd Street and Harvard Avenue, where they found a black sedan that had struck a tree.

Inside the vehicle, police said, both occupants had suffered gunshot wounds. The driver, a 20-year-old man, was taken to Christ Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. A male passenger, whose age has not been confirmed, was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.

Authorities have not released additional details about what led up to the shooting, and no suspects have been announced.
