Shooting in Chinatown leaves 2 people dead, Chicago police say

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police are investigating a shooting in Chinatown last night that left two people dead.

Officers found two people shot when they responded to 24th Street and Normal Avenue on Tuesday just before 10 p.m.


Police said one man was outside the townhome with multiple gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, and a second man was found in the back of the home with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

Paramedics took him in critical condition to the hospital, where he died.

Police believe the shooting happened inside the townhome. No one is in custody.
