(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — It happened Tuesday night in Zion, outside Zion-Benton Township High School, where the school’s basketball team was playing against Waukegan High School.

Police said shots were fired in the parking lot, but the shooter — or shooters — took off.

There was no active shooter situation, though as a precaution Zion police called in other police agencies due to the number of people at the school at the time.

No one was injured. Police said two cars were damaged by gunfire.

No one has been arrested.
