(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Six Flags Great America in Gurnee will open its gates for the first time this year next month, but visitors won't be able to go on rides.
The amusement park is hosting a holiday lights festival on weekends and select weekdays from Nov. 27 through Dec. 27.
Spokesperson Caitlin Kepple said several safety protocols will be in place to protect visitors from COVID-19.
They include mandating masks as well as limiting the number of people in the park by requiring online reservations.
Kepple added sanitation crews will be constantly working around the park, and hand sanitizing stations have been installed throughout the grounds.
