CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - When Caitlin Clark’s Indiana Fever square off with Angel Reese’s Chicago Sky this summer in Chicago, it will be on a grander stage.

The Sky announced Friday both games against the Fever will be played at the United Center.

With some of the league’s biggest stars-Reese and Clark-, the Sky and the Fever have become one of the biggest rivalries in the WNBA.
Julia Poe covers the Sky for the Chicago Tribune and says demand for tickets for last year's games between the Sky and Fever in Chicago was huge.

“I think that they were twice as many people that wanted to go to the Sky and Fever games last year…I think the demand for season tickets for the Sky, the increase in attendance on a weekly basis, all of that points to a higher level of interest,” Poe says.

Poe adds the much larger capacity at the United Center compared to Wintrust Arena will help meet the demand and demonstrate the appeal of women's basketball in Chicago.

Tickets for the Sky-Fever games for June 7 and July 27 at the United Center go on sale on March 11.
