CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago Police are investigating the overnight smash-and-grab burglary of a South Side clothing store.
The incident occurred shortly before 3 a.m. at The Shop 147, located at 72nd and Stony Island. Police said a group of suspects broke into the store by plowing an SUV into the store building.
The suspects stole store merchandise, police added. They then got into three cars and fled northbound, leaving the SUV behind.
No one was injured.
Nobody is in custody. Area One Detectives are investigating.
