(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – After a fire swept through a sober living home for recovering alcoholics early Wednesday in downtown Crystal Lake, the group that runs the facility is asking the public for help.
Investigators say all eight residents of the Last Chance House on Second Street got out of the burning building safely, but firefighters say flames caused heavy damage.
Larry Baum, a member of the board of directors of Last Chance House, said his group has begun a fundraiser on the home's web site at lastchancehouse.org.
