(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A 26-year-old South Side man is due in court on Saturday, charged with felonies after allegedly taking part in four armed robberies.
Each of the incidents took place on the South Side between about 1 a.m. and 2:30 a.m. on Thursday at 49th Street and Western Boulevard, 62nd Street and Kolin Avenue, 59th Street and Spaulding Avenue, as well as 38th Place and St. Louis Avenue.
Two were allegedly armed robberies on the street and one was a carjacking.
The fourth, according to police, was a home invasion robbery during which two people were held and shots were fired in a residence. Nobody was hit.
Police say 26-year-old Kentrell Brown, of the 6500 block of South St. Lawrence Avenue, was among those involved.
He was arrested 30 minutes after the last incident.
He's charged with robbery, home invasion, vehicular hijacking and kidnapping.
