CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- About 200 students at suburban Homewood-Flossmoor High School walked out of class Wednesday morning, protesting what they say is a lack of action on the part of the school concerning allegations of sexual assault against a fellow student.

The students walked out twice, for about 30 minutes each time, chanting, "No means no" on the school lawn.

They claimed a male student, a junior, has sexually assaulted about a dozen girls.

They said this has gone on for several years. And the school has done nothing about it.

Gabby Raske was among the protesters.

"It's insane and the fact that we have news outlets here and so many parents on Facebook supporting us.  Like, look at this entire group of people, that's so crazy,” Raske said.

The protest was organized by Lillian Grace-Pecora.

"I organized it on Instagram and Snapchat.  I told everybody that I knew and told them to tell everybody that they know. I feel that this is a very important cause and it needs to get the attention that it deserves,"  said Grace-Pecora.

She said the student in question texted her telling her not to go through with the protest.

She told him no.

She said the student has sexually assaulted about a dozen girls.

Raske said they no longer trust men.

The students stayed out for about 30 minutes and then walked out a second time, continuing to chant on the school lawn as administrators and police looked on.

Homewood Police Chief Tod Kamleiter told us there was a report made several years ago concerning the student. Because he was a minor, the chief could not say whether anything came of it.
