(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Authorities in McHenry County said a stranded motorist was killed by a hit-and-run driver early Monday morning, and they're asking for help in finding that driver.
The man killed was 39 years old, and McHenry County authorities said he was a resident of North Chicago.
Early Monday morning, his vehicle got stuck in a ditch in the Fox Lake area - near the intersection of Wilmot Road and Paddock.
The McHenry County Sheriff's office said the man was outside his car when he was hit and killed by a white vehicle-possibly a Kia.
That vehicle kept going. The sheriff's office is encouraging anyone with information to call it in.
