Suburban man convicted for 2020 double homicide

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A North Aurora man has been convicted of a 2020 double homicide.

James Brown Jr., 30, was found guilty of killing two women in what prosecutors say was a gang-related drive-by shooting in November of 2020.

Prosecutors say Brown and another man used an AR-15 rifle to shoot into a home in the Boulder Hill subdivision and hit the two women, killing them, while the intended target escaped.

Brown is scheduled to be sentenced April 24, he faces life behind bars.
