CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — The owner of a west suburban travel agency is accused of stealing more than $100,000 from her clients.

In one case, DuPage County prosecutors say, a couple was expecting airline tickets from Chicago to Panama City to Santiago, Chile, and then home to Chicago.

Instead, authorities say, the tickets were falsified.

It’s one example, prosecutors say, of who 50-year-old Colleen Kosiek ripped off clients. All told, she’s accused of pocketing $100,000.

Kosiek, who lives in Carol Stream, is the owner of Ultimate Travel in Bartlett.

She is charged with felony theft. Prosecutors say she turned herself in. Kosiek is free on bond and has a court appearance in a month.
