(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – More than three dozen workers at a cold storage food warehouse in Bartlett teamed up to buy a Mega Millions lottery ticket that won $1 million.
Donald Gant, general manager at Rana Meal Solutions, said he convinced 39 of his workers to join him in buying 43 “quick pick” tickets for last Tuesday's Mega Millions drawing.
He said he went to two locations in Bartlett, including the BP where the winning ticket was bought. It matched five numbers, yielding the $1 million take.
Gant says each of the workers won about $25,000 before taxes.
A person in New Jersey bought the winning ticket for the entire $1.13 billion jackpot.
