Suspect taken into custody after breaking windows at governor's house: police

(WBBM NEWSRADIO) – A suspect is in custody after they allegedly vandalized the home of Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker on Monday, authorities said.

Illinois State Police around 9:41 a.m. responded to a disturbance at Pritzker’s Chicago residence and, with help from Chicago police, took a suspect into custody.

The suspect allegedly broke three windows of the home by throwing rocks.

The governor and first lady were at home at the time of the incident, but no one was injured, police said.

Charges are pending against the suspect, authorities said.
