CPD searching for suspect accused of breaking into North Side home, sexually assaulting sleeping person

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago Police are looking for the person responsible for a home invasion and sexual assault early Thursday morning on the city's North Side.

Investigators said a male entered the residence on Bell Avenue near Granville Avenue in the West Ridge neighborhood through a back door and sexually assaulted someone who had been sleeping.

Police said the suspect  implied there were other people with him before he took items from the home and fled.

Investigators said he is about 5 feet 10 inches tall with tattoos on his face.

Area Three detectives are investigating.
