PHOTOS: Suspect want in armed robbery of South Side postal worker

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - The U.S. Postal Inspection Service has posted a $50,000 reward in hopes of finding a suspect alleged to have robbed a letter carrier on the South Side earlier this month.

The armed robbery occurred on June 23, at around 2:15 p.m., near 99th and Seeley in Beverly, the U.S. Postal Inspection Service said. The male suspect was wearing dark clothing and a face covering at the time of the robbery and then fled on foot, running west on 99th Street.

Anyone with a tip that results in the arrest and conviction of the suspect is eligible for the reward.

Those with any information about the incident are asked to call the U.S. Postal Inspection Service at 1-877-876-2455 and say “Law Enforcement.”
