(WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Two men walked into a southwest suburban bar attempting to rob the customers inside early Saturday morning, but one of the suspects was left dead and another on the run after somebody fought back.
Will County Sheriff's Police said two men entered Ryan's Pub at 79-28 West Lincoln Highway in Unincorporated Frankfort about 3:15 a.m. on Saturday armed with handguns, and demanded money from several patrons and employees and threatened to shoot them.
One of the patrons shot at the armed robbery suspects and hit him several times while the other robber escaped in a car.
The suspect who was shot, died. No one has been charged and the investigation is ongoing.
