SW Side Subway restaurant robbed at gunpoint: Police

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago police are investigating an armed robbery that happened Monday at a Southwest Side Subway restaurant.

Police said around 3 a.m. two men entered the store on 63rd and Narragansett.

Officers said the suspects pulled out guns and demanded money and personal property from a 48-year-old employee.

The man complied, and then the suspects ripped out the store's security camera system and ran.

CBS-2 reported that the suspects took $700 from the register and punched out one of  the workers because he couldn't figure out how to open store safe

No arrests were made.
