CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Labor Day was the last day that swimming is allowed at the Chicago Park District beaches.

Red flags are up on the beaches signaling the end of the Lake Michigan swimming season. However, beaches will be open from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. while lifeguards are on duty.

The Park District is now transitioning to staffing the indoor pools, which are now open.

Aquatics classes start next week. Programming information and hours of operation for indoor pools can be found here.
