Mother, daughter killed in Little Village shooting; 1 in custody

CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A man was arrested after his 15-year-old daughter and 48-year-old wife were killed in a shooting early Monday inside of their Little Village home, according to Chicago police.

The man's 18-year-old son was also shot inside the residence.

Officials said it happened shortly after midnight when shots were fired at the home, located in the 2600 block of South Millard Avenue.

The girl was struck in the face and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The 48-year-old woman, who was shot in her chest, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 18-year-old, who was struck in his leg, was listed in fair condition at Mount Sinai Hospital.

Police said a weapon was found at the scene.

Area Four detectives are investigating.
