CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - A teenager has died after a crash Sunday night in Englewood that sent three other people to the hospital.
Chicago Police said a driver of a white SUV, headed eastbound on 71st Street, ignored a traffic light at Ashland and hit a gray SUV shortly after 10 p.m.
Police said one of the people in the white SUV died at the hospital while another person in that vehicle was taken in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle that was hit was treated for a concussion. Police said her male passenger suffered a hip injury. Both were in serious condition.
The Cook County Medical Examiner has identified the person killed as 17-year-old Dontrell Ferguson of Joliet.
Police expect to issue tickets.
