A Chicago teen is wounded in a shooting in the south suburbs Saturday.
The 14 year-old boy was a passenger in a car near 95th and Pulaski and around 3 p.m. when Oak Lawn police say two people started shooting at them from a black Audi. The 18 year-old driver pulled into a gas station but the gunmen continued to shoot. The 14 year-old was hit in the shoulder and taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A bullet hit the squad car of an officer responding to the call but the officer was not hit.
Oak Lawn police haven’t disclosed what led up to the shooting, but say the gunmen continued to fire when the 18 year-old from Evergreen Park pulled into a gas station. An officer responding to the scene was not injured but a bullet struck their squad car.
The teen is recovering after being shot in the shoulder.
