
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — A Sunday morning stabbing on Chicago's South Side kills one woman.
A 16-year-old girl and a 35-year-old woman were standing in the Woodlawn neighborhood near South Blackstone Avenue and East 67th Street just after 7:30 a.m.
Chicago Police say that's when the teenager grabbed a knife and stabbed the older woman in the chest.
The victim was rushed to University of Chicago Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.
The teenage suspect is in custody.
Area One detectives are handling the investigation.
