Or head down the rabbit hole at the McAninch Arts Center in Glen Ellyn for Salt Creek Ballet’s take on Alice in Wonderland. Each ticket includes access to a kids’ Mad Hatter Tea Party between performances.
More than 75 authors, artists and playwrights come together for the American Writers Festival this weekend. Hosted at the Chicago Cultural Center and American Writers Museum, the free event coincides with the museum’s fifth anniversary.
All aboard for the Pullman Railroad Days! The two-day South Side event lets you immerse yourself in locomotive history by getting up close and personal with four historic Pullman cars and gives you a chance to explore the new “Railroaders” exhibit.
