Scammers are using a predatory ploy that can easily trick targets into believing they have confirmed flights.
Fraudsters pay a small fee and actually do reserve your seat. They can even send you a confirmation, but they’re not booking the seat. Many people assume they are all set, but the scammers let the reservation
expire, so you lose your flight and your money.
-Always be leery of unsolicited emails and text messages.
-Be sure to check ratings and reviews of companies before you do business with them.
-Don’t pay until you see an e-ticket number that you can confirm.
-Whenever possible, book directly with the airlines.
