CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) -- Noir City: Chicago returns Thursday night to the Music Box Theatre with a lineup of killer B-movies, and a marathon of rare films.

Turner Classic Movies is behind the traveling show focusing on the film movement born in the 40's - that pessimistic, fatalistic visual style.

The sub theme for this years films is "They Tried to Warn Us" - with films taking on themes that ring true today, like power-crazed politicians and corrupt businessmen.

The festival also includes a James Cann tribute and his work in film noir in the early 80's.

The Music Box is bringing back the film noir event after being darkened by the pandemic since 2019.

The list of movies and showtimes can be found here: https://musicboxtheatre.com/events/noir-city-chicago-2022.
