CHICAGO (WBBM NEWSRADIO) - Chicago Police are seeking help from the public in identifying three men involved in a beating earlier this month on a CTA Red Line train.

It was about 2:30 a.m. on January 2nd when, according to police, a man asked someone to stop smoking on the train.

He was attacked by three people.

A community alert from police said the three “struck the victim about the face and body with closed fists and took the victim's bag containing his wallet, IDs and debit cards. “

Police said  they “continued to attack the victim on the 69th Street platform before fleeing to the street from the train station.”

Police released still images of the three men involved from a CTA surveillance camera.

Their faces are clearly visible.
