
(WBBM NEWSRADIO) — Chicago police have released surveillance video of an armed robbery that occurred last week on the Southwest Side and images of three suspects sought in the attack, which left a 51-year-old man hospitalized.
The incident occurred around 8 a.m. March 30 in the 2200 block of West 22nd Place. The man who was beaten saw three males in his vehicle and confronted them, reports Reel Chicago, which identified the car owner as Chicago Film Office Director Kwame Amoaku.
The three males used various objects to attack Amoaku before leaving with his phone, wallet and car, published reports say. Amoaku reportedly was hospitalized with injuries.
The video released by police shows the attack from a distance. Additional video shows three suspects at a shopping mall.
